Our Little Recap 1

Always such sweet kisses... my heart pounded for a moment as I experienced bliss. Taking it slow and easy, no rushing... in high school, rushing isn't allowed.

It creates awkward situations.

"Are you feeling okay?" I asked softly. "Any better at all? Or do I need to rub your back?"

No conversation changing this time, I had to remind myself.

"I guess it's okay... it feels like someone is stabbing me and then leaving it so that it just throbs a lot... then it radiates into my legs and hips..." I explained, I hadn't told him about it in that much detail. Before it was more like 'my back hurts' and that was it.

"Oh man... that's awful!" I frowned. "I'm glad you're getting it checked on tomorrow! Maybe they can help you!" I ran my fingers through her hair. "Want a massage, or is it too hard to roll over?"

"No massage please... it's a bit sensitive to the touch so I don't really want to take any chances..." I hated that I had to say no, I just didn't want him to see me cry. T-T

"I see, it's okay, Love. That's why I asked. Anymore funny videos? That can't have been all of them!"

I glanced up to look at him and got a good glimpse of that reassuring smile he had. "Yeah, I have some more funnies." I moved my finger over the trackpad and got off my screen saver. With that we started to get some more laughs, a medicine I would definitely need more and more later.

The next day was really boring. Amanda was out, due to her appointment and I didn't have practice, so I didn't have anyone to talk to. But the school day ended and I texted Amanda as I walked to my truck.

Hey Sweetie, how'd the appointment go? I prayed for you! Love you and keep me posted!

Mom was driving me down the interstate, I wanted to see Aaron today but apparently that was out of the question and I was doing well just to hold back tears. My phone jingled, a pretty noise I'd gotten for it back when Dad first bought it for me. It was Aaron.

I smiled at his text. What did I say to that?

Aaron. <3 It's such a long story and don't freak out okay? I want to talk to you about it in person when I get the chance.

Well, I don't work today. Can I come see you? I missed you today.

I sent the text and snapped my phone shut. I hoped everything was fine... it's always bad when they tell you not to freak out.

I had to go to another hospital in a week, so that gave me time to see him today and to explain things. I didn't want to have him come see me at a hospital and then realize what it was by the type of hospital it was.

Cancer treatment center.

Yeah, maybe we can go do something fun for a bit?

Alright! What should we do? Are you feeling up to putput golf?

I was already trying to think of other options to do stuff...

I grinned, that made me smile really big and Mom seemed to be smiling at me reassuringly.

I'd love to! Then maybe we can grab some dinner and slushies?

Sure, and don't bother bringing your wallet. You're not paying for anything. Well, you can pay me back with a hug. ;)

I sighed. What if it was something really serious?

I laughed at that. I had mom take another turn and talked to Aaron about meeting him at the course. Mom looked at me with worry in her eyes as I gave her a quick hug and then I sat on the bench to wait for him to get there.

We were about to have a lot of fun... how was I going to break this to him?

I pulled up a few minutes later and ran up to her, wrapping my arms her in a soft hug. "Hey, sweetie! How are you?" I kissed her cheek.

I kissed his cheek on the other side and hugged him, "I'm kind of tired but other than that I think I'm okay!" I said confidently even though I knew I wasn't in the best shape. "I'm doing better actually!"

Why did I lie? TT-TT I had to walk like I meant that too.

"Oh really? What did that doctor give you?" I grinned. "Something good apparently! It's nice to see you smiling so happily again."

Morphine.

Not.

"Haha, just some medicine to dull the pain, it was a stronger pain killer..." I explained as I stood up straighter, it didn't feel that much better though, I just smiled wide. "Let's go!"

I slipped my arm around her waist. "Okay, pick out your ball and putter and I'll pay! Get me a green one please!"

"Okay!" I grabbed a pink one and a red ball and then got him a green one with a matching ball, I wasn't sure which he'd want so that's what I did!

I payed, got a score card, and followed her, thanking her for the ball and putter. "Thank you so much, Beautiful Lady!" I kissed her cheek. "Let's have fun! Then I'll take you to dinner!"

Dinner yum. <3333

"Which course did you want to do?" I asked as we got up to the fork in the path. "I kind of like the first one..."

"Alright, first one it is!!" I grinned. "Ladies first, my Love!" I smiled at her. "Don't make me look bad!"

"Pfft! Like I'd make you look bad!" I dropped my ball on the turf and then positioned myself, it wasn't easy with back pain but I could tolerate it today. I bit my lip a little as I swung my putter and off it rolled!

I watched it and spotted it stopping a few feet away from the hole!
