Once Upon A Kidnapping

I raised my brows at him and stood on my toes, grabbing the mask with my teeth and pulling it off, for an added touch I lifted my tied up hands over his head and pulled him close, kissing him full on the lips to show what a good kisser I was.

I was... shocked to say the least. I wasn't exactly sure how to react, but I accidentally kissed back. I tried my hardest not to, but this girl... she was brutal. I finally pushed her away and frowned. My face was burning up and I was angry. "What are you trying to do? You're really willing to escape death by seducing me? Then what? Then you're stuck with me. Then you plan on killing me, right?" I frowned. I didn't want to fall for her tricks... they'd just get me killed.

But then again... she was very beautiful... and I wanted another kiss. I shook my head to rid myself of those thoughts. Darn women. >|

I was so sore, it really hurt when he pushed me that way. "Fine, but he should pay you double because I'm not the only one you are killing." I said sadly. I started to walk with him again, I was feeling sick and swallowed hard against the lump in my throat.

I sighed. "What are you talking about?" I said tiredly, rubbing my forehead.

"You can think about it." I said bitterly. I was tired and irritated by this turn of events. I'd been taken in by a king who only cared about one thing, then kicked out on my backside. Now I was going to be killed for no reason.

I sighed again. She was so... frustrating! And cryptic, and she tried to use my body against me! I was still recovering from that! >|

"What, you saying you're pregnant or something? Isn't the king smart enough to pull out?"

"No he's not smart enough and you are stupid enough to not know that it doesn't help all the time, obviously." I glared at him and let my head hang.

I didn't deserve this torture.

She glared at me as if I were the one who impregnated her and left her to rot. This was complicated now though. My assassin's code said I couldn't kill a pregnant woman, but I also wasn't able to leave a contract unfinished. I sighed and rubbed my forehead. I had a headache growing now. Plus, she was calling me stupid. That made me want to end her life even more, but I couldn't do that because of the code. This target was way too complicated.

"What's the most painless way to go? I don't want to be in any pain when I die..." I wanted to cry, I didn't know this was going to happen and if I'd known... I would have never accepted the proposal. "I... kind of want to be at peace when I go."

"Poison." I sighed. "But you won't be dying until you have that baby." I said softly. "I can't kill you as long as you're pregnant."

"But who will take care of her?" I asked in confusion, "I don't understand..." I didn't get killing me, she wouldn't have food or shelter, she'd be sent off to some orphanage.

"If you have family, she can stay with them, otherwise she'll grow up in the guild... unless it's stated she live with someone in particular in your will. You could demand in your will that she stay with the king, grow up as a princess and treated as if she were his own daughter." I shrugged. I wasn't taking care of that baby. "But until you have your baby, you will stay with me, so I can keep a close eye on you."

"If I must." I frowned sadly, I would have rather saved her from the hands of someone else than had her suffer later without me. I wanted to be her mother and I thought I'd be able to do that quietly.

I hated him. T^T He ruined my life.

"Unfortunately, by code, I have to do it this way. Trust me, I'd much rather do as you ask and kill you and your baby, but then I'd be killing someone without a contract. So, I have to do it this way."

"Alright."

I was going to get hugely pregnant and then give birth, suffering all that pain and then be killed. "If you are going to kill me after my baby is born then I don't want to hold her. It'll be too hard to say goodbye."

I nodded. "Understandable..." I said with a frown. "I'll make sure she's well taken care of."

I'd take time to cry later, I had seven months to bond with her anyway. "So where are we going then?"

"To my home within the guild." I said with a sigh. I wasn't fond of taking targets there, but it couldn't be helped. "How far along are you?"

"Almost three months... I'm in the middle of my second." I looked down, "U-Um... I know it's a while but it'll happen fast..."

I rubbed the back of my neck with a sigh. "I see... well, I'll see about getting you a bed when we get there." I didn't want to deal with a complaining woman for seven months.

"Thank you, but I'll be fine." I followed him willingly, sadly but willingly. I was quiet and if I hadn't said anything he would have just done away with me and my baby. He sounded annoyed.

"Why not fake killing me? I can leave the country."

"That's easier said than done. But even if I were to do that, the easiest way would be with a poison, and if I used a poison, you'd live, but your baby wouldn't, so you'd still have to stay with me for seven months." I frowned. "How about, I give you until the birth of your baby to convince me not to kill you?"

"Okay, I think I can live with that." I said softly, I didn't want the baby to die because that was very unfair. It was my fault for getting involved. And suddenly I remembered my cold. T^T

I nodded. "And if you succeed, we will fake your death and you can take your baby out of the country and live happily ever after until the King realizes his wife is infertile, and your child will take over the throne."

I nodded slowly, "Okay." I didn't mind that but geez, having my child take over that throne? I wasn't sure how I felt about that. It was going to be a long and nerve wracking seven months. =(
