Fantastic Generation

"E-Evil wizards?" Zephyr wasn't sure he liked that idea very much. Magic was beyond his comprehension, and he wasn't sure he understood very much they said. Maybe I am kind of stupid... He thought to himself as he was pushed down the long corridor. "Okay then."

They soon came upon a room where they all stopped suddenly. Rayde opened the door, and there sat the two boys his age who were playing cards solemnly together. When they looked up and saw Zephyr, they seemed scared, but they didn't say a word. Instead, loud apologies flooded his mind, and Zephyr's eyes widened considerably. He screamed out, not at all prepared for his own mind to be invaded. "S-Stop!!"

"Jyrdon! Rylen! You idiots! Stop that right now!" Kyrn commanded, and the loud yammering subsided.

Zephyr's eyes were still wide, and he panted heavily. He'd never expected that... He didn't know... He didn't know they could get into his mind. His mind wasn't his safe haven anymore either? He felt someone shaking him, but none of it registered. He was in so much shock that he was just frozen in place.

"Are you okay, Zephyr?" Elasia asked, "I'm sorry my brother is an idiot. They are both very thoughtless."

Kyrn sighed wearily. He hadn't intended this to happen. He was going to release the spell over the boys' voices, but they attacked poor Zephyr with apologies before thinking. The poor kid probably didn't even know what was coming. He massaged his temples in frustration and Rylen frowned sadly. They'd screwed up again.

A few minutes passes before Zephyr came to. He was shaken and he turned to face the boys who now had their voices back... For the moment. "Y-You're forgiven. I'll st-stay out of your way now." There was so much information to process, that Zephyr's mind finally just gave up. He looked to Elasia and smiled a little bit. Y-You're real nice. I think I have to go though... I have more chores to do before I can sleep."

"Sorry again!" Rylen called. "We won't do it again! And sorry for traumatizing you!"

Elasia frowned and nodded, "Okay... I'll teleport you home." She made a portal and then gasped when she coughed up blood, it was obviously too soon for her to be doing that.

"Elasia!" Rayde exclaimed, he completed her portal, "She'll be fine, you'll get to see her again!"

She panted, wheezing a little while thinking to herself... she'd be surprised if her new friend would ever want to see her again after the display tonight.

She was embarrassed.

Zephyr gave her a quick hug and then hesitated at the enteance of the portal. He wasn't certain what to do, but the 'portal' faced his home.

"Just walk through, Son." Kyrn smiled. "It won't hurt."

Zephyr nodded and gulped, then gave Elasia a kiss on the cheek. He heard a shout from Rayde as he jumped through the portal and landed by his pile of chopped wood. He sighed heavily amd worked on getting his chorea done quickly. He wanted them done before Elasia's father killed him.

Elasia hated to see him go but they were both young anyway, there was no need to be thinking about love... especially not when she was coughing up blood again. "Elasia... what did I tell you?"

"I'm sorry... I want mom..."

"Alright, I'll take you to mom... great." Rayde shook his head slowly and walked her to where he knew Sera was.

Sera was sitting in the library, rocking back and forth on her chair. She looked up when she heard footsteps amd smiled upon seeing two of her wonders of the world. She kissed Elasia's forehead amd Rayde's lips. "So, how did everything go?" She asked with a sweet smile.

"It went well... until Elasia decided to use magic and now she's sick... again. I just wanted to let you know that I'm putting a charm on her so she can't until she's healed, she's coughing blood..."

Elasia pouted, "But... I like using magic..."

"You'll get to again, eventually. Right now you can't, just... stop." Rayde returned Sera's kiss.

"Elasia..." Sera sighed and shook her eas with a small laugh. "You're so much like me when I was your age. It shouldn't take you too long to heal though, and there are fun things to do without magic!" Sera said, taking Rayde's hand in her own.

"Like what?" Elasia asked, it seemed foreign to her to not use magic and her father was still trying to heal her again, but he never seemed phased by such things.

"Like using magic. Oh wait, never mind..." Rayde cut himself out of the conversation.

"Like playing with Zephyr, or cards! There's reading, drawing, playing dress up! All kinds of fun things!" Sera grinned.

"Oh... but I can't go see Zephyr, I'm too sick to make portals." Elasia frowned, "Besides, I can't use magic and I'm embarrassed... I don't think he wants to see me again."

"Oh? What makes you say that? I thought everything went well!" Sera frowned some. "What happened? Why wouldn't he want to see you? You're so sweet!"

"Because the boys embarrassed me... and they scared him away." Elasia began to cry instantly.

"Oh, sweetheart! I don't think that would make him dislike you! You aren't Rylen!" Sera hugged her carefully. "Rayden, what do you think? Do you think Zephyr doesn't want to see her again? The way he jept blushing, I doubt that's the case at all!"

"He did give me a kiss... but..." Elasia blushed, "I'm still really embarrassed."

"I think he wants to see her again, he was a little reluctant to go."

Sera smiled suddenly. "See? He definitely wants to see you! All is well! You may need to wait until you get better, but then you should be able to go and see him!" Sera kissed Elasia's head again and sighed happily. She loved being a mother.

"But what if he doesn't want to come back here again? Everyone here is so strange..." Elasia frowned.

"Strange? How?" Rayde seemed just a little offended.

Sera giggled some. "Well, we are kind of strange... but I think he was just a bit surprised. He is from a quiet town it seems." She smiled warmly. "He's very handsome though, and very sweet. It does bother me that he isn't schooled, though I suppose there isn't much we can do about that... he does have a mother he needs to care for, and a farm to keep up. Poor child, having to do that alone." Sera frowned. I think I will make him some new clothes! He seemed a bit embarrassed of how he looked!"

"I can help and I can teach him things!" Elasia offered, "It'd be fun to read together!"

"Oh, you're the sweetest!" Sera grinned. She was proud to have such a sweet girl. "But maybe we should wait until you're better! It won't do him any good if you pass out while trying to help." She stretched some and sighed. "Rayde-love, how long will it be until you think she's well enough to use magic? Then we can plan accordingly!"

"If she goes to bed early she can have it back as early as noon tomorrow." Rayde estimated, "That's if she doesn't use it and if she sleeps well tonight."

"I'm going to bed!" Elasia tried to keep her composure as she walked out of the room, running wouldn't help anything!

Sera snickered and tried to stifle her laughter. "Well, someone is excited for noon tomorrow." She said with a happy grin. "How are you, my handsome? Should we let the boys out, or should we wait until Elasia leaves tomorrow?"

"Jyrdon will leave with Kyrn and Claire in a little while but we agreed that they won't be out of imprisonment for a couple days... I know it seems harsh, but they must learn what being careless leads to." Rayde sounded extremely serious as he turned back to Sera, "I'm fine, I feel like I haven't seen you in such a long time." He kissed her neck, "I missed you."

"Aw, I missed you too." Sera returned his kisses and wrapped her arms comfortably around his neck. "You're so wonderful. I love you more than anything in this world." She smiled happily and sighed. "I need you to take me to our room and remove all of my clothes."
