Actions Speak Louder

Owen was already busy hugging Draco's snout.

"You should finish the roof... I know that promise you made." Draco rumbled.

"I already finished it!" Owen grinned, and laughed some. "I was just working on the inside!"

"Well, go do that then, and let us nap! Shoo shoo!" Draco nudged him away a bit, and Owen chuckled while going back to the house. "Have fun!"

Hika giggled at the way Miranda walked to catch up with Owen, she was very love struck. Already, Hika was forming a crush on Draco.

Owen pulled Mira into his arms as they walked to the house. He was happy to have her with him. "I love you so much, Beautiful. You seem to be very happy today."

Miranda nodded, "I am!! I just got a dragon and now I get to do the special things with you!" She clung to his arm and kissed it, "Let's go!"

"I thought that was supposed to be tonight... but this is fine by me!" He grinned and picked up their bag of pillows and blankets, and led her into the house, closing the newly-made door and locking it. He flashed a grin to her and noticed her cheeks were a warm pink. He breathed shakily, feeling a bit nervous. This was their first time together... but it was the perfect time. He dropped the pillows and blankets on the floor, then pulled her into a passionate kiss. "I love you so much."

Miranda gasped before returning his kisses. Finally they could be together, it felt so right. She had her happy days, but this was bliss, such glorious bliss.

Draco was napping, Hika noticed and she decided to take that time to really study his features. He was beautiful and before she knew it, she was nuzzling him gently. He was so warm, she was purring close to his ears, strangely wanting his attention.

Draco opened one eye, taking a peek at what the buzzing in his ear might be. Then, he realized it was Hika. He opened his other eye, and turned to stare back at her. "Is something the matter?"

Hika was startled at his sudden words and she shrunk away. "Forgive me, I just wanted to talk again or... I sort of like you, you make me feel safe and different." The pink dragon acted shy but she was definitely outspoken.

"Hmm? I see..." Draco yawned a little bit and looked her over some. She was still under his wing, but she had scooted closer to him. "I am glad I can make you feel safe. What would you like to talk about?"

Hika quietly watched a butterfly flutter past her, once it was out of view she turned her attention back to Draco.

"I was wondering... About the two legs and what they do..."

"You mean... right now?" Draco yawned a little bit and laid his sleepy head near hers. "They are mating for their first time right now. If you delve into your rider's mind, you can feel her emotions, but that may not be a good idea at the moment. It would be very overwhelming, and you may give in to her emotions. But... I've heard it said that when that happens, mating can be very passionate and intense for the two riders and their dragons." Draco tugged his wing back a bit to be tighter around Hika as though he were giving her a hug.

Hika nodded slowly, "That sounds rather serious... So they will have children, I love children. Draco... Have you ever loved before?"

"Hmm? Well... I can't say that I have. I haven't had many interactions with female dragons before now. What about you? In your short years, have you ever loved?" Draco nudged her snout a little.

"No, I have never felt love before... I wish to know it and to experience those simple joys... I am afraid of being wounded in the process..." Hika stopped when her snout was nuzzled and she returned his affections.

"Mmm... I have felt the same. That is why I have lived so long without a mate." He sighed a little bit. "The heart is a very fragile thing..."

"Some said I was too young yet to settle with a mate... But I was lonely..." Hika got lost in his advances rather quickly, she felt safe and nothing stopped her from cuddling closer to him. It was a good day.

"I don't think you are too young. If you feel you would be happiest that way, why wait? Then you are only making yourself suffer for another few years." Draco poked her nose with his and blinked sleepily, though, he always seemed sleepy.

"I see, that makes more sense..." Hika smiled and realized how fast she seemed to be falling for his charms. Her eyes widened and she began to purr to him again without really thinking about it. Hika had given her heart away blindly.

Draco smiled to her and returned her high-pitched purrs with his deeper ones. He already really liked Hika, finding her more and more loveable as the day wore on. Her color was so unique, and beautiful... he'd truly never seen a more beautiful female before.

Hika gazed at him lovingly, was it normal to fall in love so quickly? What would come of this? Hika let herself be taken by him, there was no reason to hide her feelings.

"Oh, let me teach you something." Draco lifted his head and forepaw a bit, and reached to her head, scratching her gently between the ears. "Doesn't it feel nice? It usually puts me to sleep when Owen does this..."

Hika was startled, but he was right, it felt wonderful and it did make her really sleepy.

"Are you trying to put me to sleep?"

Draco stopped and chuckled some. "No..." He nuzzled her neck then and licked it. "I just wanted to show you a really comfy spot."

Hika giggled, "Oh, I see then... It's really nice. Thank you." She enjoyed all that alone time with him. No one distracted them or anything, she felt so happy and relieved.

Owen awoke the next morning with a smile. Mira was curled up in his arms, and she was as beautiful as she'd ever been. He brushed her hair out of her face and kissed her softly. They really needed to go town that day to get kitchen supplies... and a bed. He wanted her to have a nice, comfy bed. He wanted so badly to hug her tightly just then, because she was so cute... but he didn't want to wake her. "I love you, my sweet." He whispered softly.
