I sniffed the air suddenly and gasped, "Oh no!" I quickly waddled into the kitchen and hurried to stir the pasta sauce, I hated cutting off moments but the last thing I wanted to have happen was our kitchen explode of red, easy to stain anything, sauce! D;

I was always the one to ruin the moments so it seemed but he'd never pointed it out to me before. I didn't reply and just stirred the food and then turned off the stove before putting it all together in a glass dish and tossing it in the oven.

I guess I'd have to make it up to him.

"Yes... And I'm celebrating by giving you a gift because believe it or not... the day you gave me your number... it was my birthday!" I grinned. "So I decided I'd celebrate by giving you a gift to say I'm glad to have met you, pretty lady!" I grinned widely.

I turned around and looked at him, "Alright, what is it?" I asked, deciding that now that my beautiful pasta creation was in the oven I could have a seat again and rest my back.

I rolled up right beside her chair and pulled a long, slender box from behind my back and held it out for her to see. Then, I pulled the top of the box off so she could see.

It was a necklace. A dainty gold chain holding a heart and half of the heart was encrusted with diamonds.

I really hoped she'd like it. I'd spent forever secretly saving up the money! >.<

"Oh... oh my gosh, Kyle!" I exclaimed, I couldn't even believe my eyes when I saw that and I just wanted to cry. It was beautiful and it even went well with my engagement and wedding rings! <3

After dinner it was time to sing a birthday song and show the cake. I got both my children out and we added the finishing touches to our cake and then took it to Kyle while singing 'HAPPY BIRTHDAY'.

Everyone was grinning and I couldn't help but grin too when I saw what the cake said...

"HAPPY BIFDAY! YOU DA BEST DADY IN THE HOLE WHITE WOLRD!?!!"

"Wow... thank you! I love it!" I held out my arms so they could climb up and I could hug them.

Ian jumped up and sat down on Kyle's lap grinning from ear to ear, "Happy birfeeday!" He shouted, "You're getting old!"

I covered my mouth so I wouldn't laugh really loud. >.<

I hugged him tight and soon, Katie-bug was in my lap too and the three of us shared a big hug! "I am!" I laughed at the observation of my son... old. Yes, that would be me! "I love you both so much and I can't thank you enough for that cake!" I hugged them again and I almost wanted to cry. I loved them both so much and I really treasured these moments! TuT

"We love you Daddy!" Katie grinned. "We love you LOTS!"
