Our Little Recap 1

I took it and shook my head. "Dang... what about Elijah and Amanda? I guess they're at a friends house? I know the others are with Grandma and Grandaddy." I laughed suddenly. "We're all pigs! I'll split the cost with you, sweetie!"

"Amanda is out with a guy friend according to Dad... and Elijah is at soccer practice." I smiled, "Two less orders. And don't worry about it, Katie, I can cover this."

I had money to spare after all! Already bought the ring! <3

"You sure?" I looked up at him with a small smile. "You're the most wonderful man I've ever met! I love you to death!" I leaned over and wrapped my arms around his neck. We'd already parked. <3

"I love you more than anything." I hugged her with my good arm and then I got out to get her door for her again, "I will need your help carrying the to-go boxes."

"Okay! I can definitely help!" I grinned and jumped out, pecking his cheek. "I'll help you however I can!"

The food smelled so good and we knew all the waiters and waitresses there after years of coming here for family things and Katie's parents coming here a well long before.

I placed the orders and looked around, so many good memories were held here.

I took the boxes and grinned. "You ready, Love?"

"You bet!"

-A couple Months Later-

This was humiliating... Zack bought a ring from Zales and all I could get was a ring from walmart... I couldn't afford anything and I really owed her. But would she love it? I watched her from across the room where she was resting after a long school day, she was only getting prettier in my eyes, her being pregnant with our first made her even more beautiful to me.

I wanted to marry her.

I sat in his Dad's recliner. It was so big that it swallowed me up! I was curled up with my hand draped over my belly. This was the best place to sleep, and I'd actually taken to sleeping on it for a few nights. The bed was uncomfortable.

I hated to wake her up but I had to do something, something special for her. I came over and carefully scooted next to her, positioning her on my lap before kissing her temple and caressing the other cheek. Mom started to walk in and I held up my index finger to the center of my mouth and she turned around and left with a smile.

I lifted her hand as gently as I could and laid the ring on her belly before draping her hand back over it. "I love you..." I whispered.

I woke, swearing I heard someone whisper something! I opened my eyes to see Ian staring back at me. "Oh, hello, love!" I said with a sleepy smile. "Good afternoon."

"Good afternoon..." I said and then tilted my head curiously, "How is our baby today?" I asked, I knew she would move her hand and realize the ring was there if I talked about it. I hated to wake her up but I couldn't wait.

"Mm... he's just waking up." I rubbed my belly absentmindedly and looked down with a smile... which quickly faded into a curious look. "What is on my..." Which then turned to a very happy grin! "Ah- uh, r-really?!" I looked up at him with hopeful eyes.

"I know we'll be sitting together like this years from now... why not propose this way?" I asked as I caressed her cheek, "Will you be my wife, Andrea?"

I nodded fervently. "Y-Yes! Yes of course!!" I reached my arms up to him and squirmed around. The baby prevented me from being able to lean up and kiss him much anymore.

I leaned down and planted the kiss she was looking for on her lips, it didn't seem to matter much where it came from after all. <3

I kissed him back happily. "It's so beautiful! You did a wonderful job picking the ring out!!"

I smiled and nodded, "I've been saving for a while... do you think it will fit okay?" I asked, I wasn't sure if her hands were swollen or not. Mom was making me read what to expect books. -_________-

"Yeah! It fits perfectly! Thank you so much!!" I grinned and admired his handiwork. "Gah, I love it!!!"

I was so relieved to know that she loved it because I felt like I went cheap on it and maybe one day I could spoil her with something really nice.

I'd make up for it with our wedding bands maybe.

"I'm really sorry too... if this wasn't your idea of a romantic proposal..." I frowned a bit.

I shook my head and sighed happily. "No... this is the perfect proposal. I feel sorry for any girl who is proposed to differently."

I tilted her head up towards mine a little bit and kissed her gently, "I feel sorry for any man who doesn't go this simple." I grinned mischievously.

I nodded. "Yes! Too expensive for a simple proposal!" I wiggled close to him and sighed again. "But mine beats everyone's!"

"It does, it certainly does." I took a long breath and then pulled her close and just relaxed, peeking out of the corner of my eye to see Mom eavesdropping.

Mom. >.<

And then Dad must have come around because I heard her whispering 'look!' and 'guess what just happened!'.

Mine were already closed and I was beginning to drift off and fall asleep on his lap. "I'm... having a bit of trouble staying awake."
