Our Little Recap

I frowned when he grabbed her things. "You too! Don't try and be a hero!" He yelled at me.

"Sir, I don't have any money. I left my wallet at home and that's what we were headed to get-"

"Don't lie to me!!"

"I-I'm not lying!" I argued. "I don't have any-" I gasped when I felt a sharp pain in my stomach. I felt myself double over and realized he'd stabbed me!

"I told you not to lie to me!" The man screamed and pushed me down, searching my pockets.

I felt numb and tried not to look where he'd been stabbed, I knew I would pass out if I looked and I couldn't panic, I had to do something.

Some part of me blew up though, some part of me was screaming and I wasn't sure what it was but I jumped.

"GET OFF OF HIM!" I screamed loudly, shoving him off and getting punched in the eye, that would probably be the only wound I'd have though besides somehow losing my prosthetic, and that was when I crawled to get his knife, apparently he didn't know that one of my legs was fake as I was pretty much wearing jeans that day.

God please help us!

Suddenly he stopped coming after me and looked away before dashing off, he must have heard something or else he wouldn't have ran. I had to get back to Eli though.

I curled up in pain, holding the place where I was stabbed. I didn't want Keely to see it. "Keely..." I gulped. "Don't look at me. J-Just call nine one one."

I managed to drag myself to him and move his hand, laying him flat, "I have to stop the bleeding!" I said with huge tears in my eyes, I had to do something I couldn't just let him bleed out! Holding one hand down on the wound and trying to use the other to call an ambulance wasn't easy.

"Just keep talking to me... k-keep talking..."

I saw blood seeping through my fingers, things became a little distorted and I felt nauseous but I had to ignore it.

"M-M-My boyfriend was just mugged..." I stuttered, my body was shaking while I tried to stop the bleeding. I told them the street name and stayed on the phone.

"B-Boyfriend?" I smiled up at her a little. "You like me that much, huh?" I took a deep breath and gulped against the pain. She was pushing hard and it hurt, even though I knew she had to do it. >.<

I gave a nod, still feeling nauseous and trying not to look at the wound or the blood, I didn't want to pass out I had to be calm. I took deep breaths but the smell was already there.

"He's b-bleeding through my fingers, what do I do?"

"Keep applying pressure." The lady over the phone said.

I nodded and held the phone to my ear with my shoulder and then pulled off my shirt revealing a tank top sports bra, nothing that was going to reveal anything else. I used my own shirt to continue to apply more pressure.

I had been staring off into the road when I looked back at her and gasped. My face was burning up now. "I wish you hadn't done that..." I began looking around frantically for other men. I wasn't sure what I was going to do if they began staring at her. Glare profusely, maybe. "What if some creepy guy starts staring at you?" Jeez, even I was staring and was having trouble looking away.

"It's not like my boobs are enormous or anything... we don't n-n-eed to have this conversation." I looked up at the sky and began to cry wishing the ambulance would arrive. I was going to be sick.

And I just mentioned my boobs during a 911 call.

"H-Hey! D-Don't cry!" I gasped and took a few breaths. "I'm fine! I-I'll be okay, and your boobs are perfect the way they are!"

Wait... did I just comment on her boobs when she was the one keeping me alive?

I heard the sirens coming and I let the call drop after telling her that the ambulances were there, I ignored his comment for the moment and would probably slap him later when he wasn't expecting it.

Even though it was nice yet kind of inappropriate for the moment.

I turned and forced myself to stare at the ambulance and not Keely. "I'm sorry he took your things..."

It hadn't really occurred to me yet that my things were gone, the earrings were my grandmothers and the bracelet was a Christmas gift from my brother.

And they hadn't even stopped that man from stabbing Elijah.

"It's fine." I put some more pressure until the paramedics took over.

I frowned when the paramedics pushed her out of the way. "Keely's riding with me." I stated in such a way which offered no argument. "And she needs a shirt too, s-so give her one please."

One of the men stared at her and took off his paramedic shirt and handed it to her. "I can't believe you're able to talk so much with this wound..." He commented, looking back at me.

The truth was, it was hard. But if I didn't talk, Keely might get upset..."

"I asked him to talk because I wanted him to stay awake, I'm sorry." I slipped on the shirt and it felt kind of baggy. It didn't matter too much though.

I spotted my leg back near where Elijah had been but I felt too dizzy to get it.

"And get her leg too please." I smiled and a paramedic sighed. "We're here for you, sir."

"And if you go get that leg and get my girlfriend in the ambulance with me, I'll be happy."

And so, they grabbed her leg and helped her in the ambulance with me. I held her hand and sighed, closing my eyes. I was so tired, though I hadn't done anything really. "Keely..."

"Yeah?" I asked shakily, I had a basin and was trying not to be sick, the sight of blood had really turned me pale and I felt like I was going to just collapse.

"You're my hero." I smirked at her and the paramedic prompted me to quit talking. So I frowned. >(

At the hospital I had to wait outside the ER area trying to put my leg back on but I couldn't even get my hands to stop shaking, I'd thrown up twice already and my face was starting to hurt as the shock wore off.

I wanted my Eli. T-T

Nurse Gina looked back and forth in the lobby until she saw a young girl, struggling with a prosthetic leg. "Miss," She said, walking quickly to her. "Miss, you are waiting for Elijah Harrison? He is out of the OR and is sleeping at the moment. The anesthetics really knocked him out." She smiled. "He's upstairs on the third floor, room 316."

I looked up, "Oh... thank you." I stood up and then fell onto my side, I hadn't tightened it correctly, "Dang it..." After several years of knowing how I finally made a mistake and fell.

I tried again twice before getting it just right and leaving the waiting area to go to his room.

Eli laid in his room, sleeping where the nurses and staff had left him.

I sat down by his bed and closed my eyes, I wasn't sure how I would sleep tonight with those images left in my mind, the sound of Elijah gasping when he was stabbed, the way he was curled up when I got back to him.

His voice, it all rung in my ears.

"Eli..." I stood up and looked over him, "I'm so sorry." I felt a chill roll up my spine and smiled, "This feels soon but... I love you." I leaned over, cupping his cheek and tickling his ear with the tips of my fingers as I planted a soft kiss on his lips.

Well, that was a surprise. I hadn't expected her to kiss me at all. Maybe cry some, but not kiss. I reached my arms up and wrapped one around her waist and the other behind her neck, pulling her close to kiss her back.

Sweet kisses. <3

And then I opened my eyes in shock thinking he was asleep and that he probably wouldn't remember but instead he was KISSING ME BACK!

And it was absolutely...

magical.

"I love you too." I said softly, smiling some. I laughed a little. "But hey, can we tell the family I got stabbed saving you?" I winked and ran my fingers through her hair. We still needed to call and let them know, but right now, I was still on a date. <3
