Once Upon A Kidnapping

"Me too... Um... when my baby comes if I don't get a chance to name him or her, I want her name to be Amber if it's a girl and Geoff it's a boy... can you make that clear to whoever takes him or her?" I asked.

I pulled the top off the bottle and turned around to look at her. I took a big swallow and sighed. "Amber or Geoff... yeah, I can remember that." I said with a sigh. "Anything else?" I asked, taking another huge swallow.

"Um... I don't want my baby to be an assassin... I want him or her to be a very honest citizen and only shed blood in defense." I was extremely specific. "I really want to know that she'll be in good hands."

I nodded, drinking more. Half the bottle was gone now. "Uhuh. I will personally make sure she has a much better childhood than mine!" I said, nodding more. "She will not even know how to hunt a rabbit!"

I was having a very serious conversation about what I wanted and he was getting drunk! I could tell he was tipsy and sighed, "Thanks..." I wasn't going to continue this conversation knowing he was getting drunk. I got up slowly and carried my tea to the room and decided to sit and just think.

I had to make sure to catch him when he wasn't downing beer. >_>;

"You're very welcome!" I said, taking another drink. "I will make sure the baby is well taken care of... by her mother. And I will figure out a way to save them!" I finished the bottle and grabbed another. "I have to do that. I have to make sure-" I took a long swallow. "That the baby if safe and sssssound." I dropped into a chair and stared at the wall. "Safe babies."

Yes, he was drunk but it was kind of funny to listen to him ramble on and on about stuff. I wondered if any of what he was saying was true though or just drunken lies. I didn't know but I didn't want to ask either, it was pointless. I would have taken the bottle but I didn't want him to be angry with me again.

"That's good!"

"It'ssss not good. It's not." I said, staring at the bottle in my hand. "Too much to do. I could have killed her, but now she has a baby. I c-can't leave a baby like me." I took another long swallow. "So I can't kill her, but I tell her I can. I can't though. But I have too because the king will kill me. I don't even know HOW to fake a death! Isssss not that sssimpllle. A lot of workkkk goesss into that. I don't know how to do it. She wants me to save her and I dunno how." I dropped the bottle and looked and my hands. Why did I drop that? I felt really sleepy. I wanted to sleep.

I listened it all and then heard him drop the bottle, he was getting bad so I decided to bring him into the room. He was rambling aimlessly and I was trying to take in all he was saying even though it was all drunken stuff. I grabbed him under the arms and started to drag him. It made my pain worse but I ignored it and tried to get him on the bed.

So his head was hanging off one side and his legs on the other. It was complicated.

"Sleep well."

"Don't tell her I said that!" I called with a big smile. "She won't underrrstand!"

I woke up the next morning with a frown and a massive headache. "Oh man..." I grumbled, sitting up slowly. I thought I was going to die. I rubbed my head and walked stiffly out of the room to the kitchen. I needed something for this hangover.

I'd made breakfast again and heard my assassin friend get up and looked over, "Morning." I was starting to really feel better from my cold but felt nauseous so I didn't plan on eating. "Are you hungry? I bet your are hung over, what helps?" I asked, "I'll put it together for you."

She was talking. Why was she talking? I wanted to cry. T-T

"Eggs." I whispered, sitting down softly. Could she clang those pans around any louder? I squinted my eyes and held my head in my hands. So much pain...

"Okay." I could tell he was in a lot of pain so I was trying to be as quiet as possible. I had already drank quite a bit of tea that morning so I wouldn't wake him up by running around and being sick. "Here you go." I set the plate in front of him and then sat down quietly and held my mug. I was nervous to make noise. T^T

"Thanks." I said, eating the eggs slowly. "I hope I didn't... say anything rude to you last night. I didn't mean to drink so much."

"Not at all, just some silly things but nothing horrible. Try to rest as much as you can today." I nodded to him slowly and took a quiet sip of my tea when I started to feel sick. "I'll take care of you."

"Ah... great." I sighed. "I have a reputation of saying stupid things." I took another bite of the eggs. "Though, usually they're true..."

My interest was piqued all of a sudden, "Oh... wow." I didn't want to let on that he'd said anything of importance to me. I finished my tea and got up to put the mug in the sink, I wasn't going to wash it until his hangover was gone.

I rubbed at my forehead and finished the eggs. I really shouldn't have had that beer. I was really paying for it now.

I made some more tea and set it in front of him, "I thought this would be good for your head pain... drink it slowly."

I really hoped he wouldn't get drunk again. A couple months later I had sort of settled into a routine of making dinners and lunches against his will. I didn't shop because I wasn't allowed to go out other than to sit outside which I did sometimes because I didn't want to end up looking pale and sickly.

Should I get out of this situation... I had four months left.

"Wow... this works better than the eggs."


Three months later, I was still trying to figure out how to not kill her in four months. I'd almost grown to like her... almost. She still had her slightly annoying moments... like when she'd take my beer from me. That wasn't fair. >|

So obviously, I hadn't gotten drunk since then. She wasn't even letting me have one sip, and now my whole stash had somehow disappeared. I wasn't allowed to cook either. When I'd get home, she had everything prepared... and then she'd frown at me and make me wash the blood off of myself before eating. Then she'd double check me and make me wash again sometimes and then fuss at ME for the food getting cold! It wasn't my fault she was making me bathe twice before dinner! >|

I sighed and rubbed my neck, walking in the house. I hadn't gotten a contract today, so I wasn't all bloody... but I had more tea for her. I dropped the bag on the counter and frowned. "Am I allowed to eat or am I too dirty?"

I didn't mean to be so picky with him but I sometimes did it so I didn't have to complain that certain things were making me ill. I was failing at being perfect again and at this rate I was going to be killed. T^T

"You're fine." I felt bad for making him upset. Four months. It was going by so fast and earlier I'd felt the baby kick and instead of feeling happy I panicked and cried for a while. "Did you have a good day?"

"Mm... yeah..." I rubbed my neck some and sighed. "What about you? You don't look as pale today..."

I was surprised that he had noticed, "Oh, I'm not getting as sick anymore and I'm more used to things now... I drank a lot of tea today." I watched him a little but not for long because I didn't want him to think I was staring. I decided to ask though...

"So have you thought about it more?" I moved in my chair a little and fixed my dress even though it wasn't too wrinkled, but I wanted him to take notice of my boobs again. >_>; I was always trying to seduce him but it hadn't worked so far.

She was always trying to get me to look at her boobs. It was... really awkward, looking at a pregnant woman's boobs. "Th-Though about letting you live, you mean?" I asked, trying to look at her face and not down her shirt. It wasn't fair that she could take advantage like that. Every time she did that, it was harder to not look. >.<

"Yes, I've thought about it."

"Sorry... something happened today and it's getting harder for me to let go so easily." I said with a long sigh, "I just thought I'd ask... sorry." I wanted to be okay with this but I just couldn't. How was this fair?
