To Whom It May Concern

"Yeah that sounds like a good plan. We don't want to have to renovate or move when we hear there's a baby on the way." I was checking my cell phone for certain things and then snapped it shut before starting the car to go look at the next place.

I sat quietly in the passenger seat, looking out for 'For Sale' signs.

I took a moment to reach across and rub her arm, "Are you okay? You've been a little quiet and that concerns me. If you need to talk I'm all ears."

I grinned. "Nope! I'm fine! I just spaced out a bit..."

I pulled into another driveway. It was amazing and the house was beautiful.

"Who would want to move out of a place like this. Oh well, let's see the inside." I jumped out of the car and ran to open the door for her.

I giggled as I stepped out. "You treat me like royalty... why is that?" I leaned up and kissed his cheek.

"Because you are the crown to my head, Rae." I kissed her and then began to lead her inside, "Don't forget it."

I giggled at that too and squeezed his hand. "I won't! Besides, I don't think you'll ever let me.... OH!! Look at the rose bushes by the house!!! So pretty!!!"

"That looks good! The outside looks all new and refreshing." I walked inside and was glad to see that the interior looked good. That was always a plus side.

My heels clicked when I walked in. And I pointed to the floor with a grin. "Wood floors."

"I spotted that and I'm already a happy camper." I was looking around. There was a lot of open space, room for kids to run around in the future, room for anything. That made me happy. I explored the open spaced kitchen. This, I could already see a plaque on the wall that said "Rae's Kitchen". This could be hers.

"Rae, this has your name on it."

I nodded happily. "And yours too! Look at that wood! We should engrave your name on one of the boards!" I giggled.

"If we get the place we'll engrave our names in. And then when we start our family we'll add names." I was smiling. I loved the idea, "It'll be our home."

I nodded. "I think it's perfect! It's the perfect house!" I hugged him. "Can we keep it?"

"I'll call the lady and we'll discuss it! I'm certain we can keep it." That night I got on my knees and I prayed asking God for favor, that I could get that house for Rae. I prayed, and prayed and prayed.

I flopped on my bed and closed my eyes. I prayed that God would let me have that house. But not for me... for Matt. He seemed to want it pretty badly. Those wood floors seemed to have a big effect on him.

Two weeks passed and I had one week left until I had to get my stuff out of the apartment. It seemed impossible that a call could come in about the house but I really needed to know. I prayed a lot within that time period that we'd have favor and that if we didn't there would be a good reason behind it.

I was on my way out to meet Rae for one more round of hunting just in case and then cake tasting for our wedding when my cell phone rang.

I sat on the steps of my apartment, awaiting the arrival of my true love. We were going house hunting again just in case no one called about that house...

I pulled into the driveway while I was still on the phone with her. I kept thinking how I'd fall on my knees and praise God every five seconds. I was shaking. I was thrilled.

I jumped out of the car smiling from ear to ear.

"Thanks! Thank you so much, bye!" I hung up and ran up to Rae, lifting her off her feet and spinning her around, "RAE!" I cried, "Change of plans!"

I held on tight to him, praying no one could see up my dress as he spun me around. But I looked into his eyes and giggled. "Change of plans? What are you talking about?"

I sat her down and could barely contain my excitement, "We're meeting the lady today to get the keys and sign the papers for it!" I was shaking, "The house! We got it!"

I gaped. "N-No way!!! Seriously?!" I bounced up and down, suddenly realizing why he was so excited. "I can't believe this!!" I hugged him tight, grinning from ear-to-ear.

My heart was racing as we finished the papers and when she handed us the keys. I was thanking God for the rest of the day because my deadline for moving had been so close. He was really protecting us.

Moving in wasn't too hard since we'd been organizing for a while. I had a friend come in and engrave our names into the floor like we'd planned. It felt like home in no time.

I sighed as we organized some our things. The wedding was a few days away so my stuff was being moved in already. I had my hair up in a messy ponytail and held a box of pictures from my apart which I then placed on the table. "I really need to get rid of some stuff." I laughed wearily, thumbing through the pictures.

"We can do that little by little." I called from the next room. I was putting together the king sized bed that I'd picked up recently. The thing was so comfortable I could sleep on the mattress alone and be a happy man.

I was getting a work out from putting screws in, that's for sure.
