To Whom It May Concern

"Yes, I do. Because in situations like this one I'd be wanting mine too." I got up to kiss her where she wasn't scraped up, "You're beautiful, someone came in to clean the dirt off your face a bit ago."

"If you keep this up I may just have to make you eggs for breakfast when I get out." He was flattering me... but I had a very hard time believing him. "But I know I'm not beautiful right now... I'll heal up... eventually."

I chuckled, "Well... you're something special and your beauty comes in all directions." I said, "Remember, you're my crown and no matter what you will always shine no matter how scratched you get or how old you get. You will always be beautiful in any circumstance."

I think I blushed. But you probably couldn't tell. "You're sweet... you bust really want that breakfast!" I struggled a laugh and smiled a bit.

"No, I just want you to come home with me so we can cuddle." I sat down at the edge of the bed, "I miss cuddling."

I looked at him with a happy eye. "I miss it too." I sighed. It was Friday. We had Saturday off for each other. For some... alone time. We hadn't had any without sickness or something since getting married...

Yup. I was still a virgin. We didn't have time...

We had cuddled a little but nothing more than hugging and kissing. My schedule, combined with throat surgery and other incidents made it hard to really find time. We were both busy.

I'd hope it would change but if not it was okay.

"I'm craving a frap..." I said with a sigh as I fiddled with a bandage on my arm.

"I can go get you one. Strawberry?" I got up off the floor and tried to make myself look a little presentable. I'd been crying a bit but she didn't see that. >.>

"Ohhh! That'd be the best!" I replied with as much of a grin as I could muster... which was more of a half smile.

I smiled back at her and then made my way out the door. Thankfully the place wasn't very far from the hospital so I went through the drive through and made it back in record time.

I sat up when I saw him come in. "You're quick!" I said with that half smile.

"It wasn't far." I pulled the tray over to her and bent the straw. I wasn't sure how sore she was so I was trying to make it comfortable.

I sat down with my own chocolate flavored frap and looked at her, "So did Kay tell you yet? I think she said she would yesterday... I guess that means she didn't."

I raised an eyebrow. "Hmm? Tell me what? Spill your info. I'm an injured person demanding to know what seems to be juicy info..."

"I learned earlier today that not only is Kay married but she's expecting a baby too. I had no idea she was married." I actually made a funny face and then put my straw in my mouth so I wouldn't have to say anything else. I wanted to see her expression.

My expression was as shocked as it could be at the moment. "Aww!!! Yay! Tell her I want to be the Godmother!" I was smiling again!

"I will! Well, she might be coming by later but she had some stuff to do. She felt really bad about what happened." I was suffering a momentary brain freeze but it went away quickly after I massaged my temples. Immediately after I was drinking it again.

"Which makes me wonder... what kind of parents would we ever make? I can't even picture it."

My shoulders rose and fell a bit after taking a sip of the yummy frap. "I don't know about me... but I think you'll be a wonderful father. You're kind, fun, loving... very forgiving..."

I chuckled, "Hah, funny. But I can't see us as parents. With our schedules we don't have much time for each other and I'm worried if we did have kids then we wouldn't be around enough. It's just not a good idea. So I guess it'll just stay a thought."

I turned to stare out the window. "Yeah.... I guess you're right." I liked the idea of having kids, but if he wanted to wait... we could do that too. Besides, it wasn't just about what I wanted.

"But a good thought it will be..."

I reached for her good hand and stroked the back of it with my thumb, "Are you okay? Does anything hurt badly right now?" I hadn't realized then that my own words might have done something. I was just trying to plan things out right.

"Well, I just have a bit of a headache." I replied, halfway telling the truth. But the headache wasn't what was putting my spirits down. "I'll be fine after a while I think." I said with a smile when I turned back around to look at him.

"Okay, if you need anything I'll go get it for you." A little while later Kay came to visit and sat with us for a bit. She seemed cheerful but I could see concern in her eyes. I could also see that Rae didn't look so happy. I wanted to ask but I decided it was just the fact that she was probably in pain.

It actually broke my heart.

"I'm so happy for you!" I said with my well developed happy face. "Can I be the Godmother? Can I dote on it? It's a girl! It should really be a girl!" I was very much excited for her, but deep down, I was a little jealous too. "Then I could get her cute little outfits and fun toys and such!"

I watched Kay laugh, "I wouldn't mind that at all actually! We're really hoping for a girl and I wouldn't mind you being the Godmother either. You'd be a wonderful godmother!"

I smiled but upon looking at Rae again I dropped it. She was really faking this. I knew she wanted those things but I could tell something was up. It was in her eyes and I couldn't miss it.
