And he doesn't even know...

"I'm sure, I have to make a phone call to transfer work too, at least for now." I finished eating and then pulled out my phone.

I sighed and laid my head on the table. I never thought I'd have to arrange a funeral so early. I only knew of a few things I needed to do. After that, I didn't know who to call or what to do.

"I remember when my grandparents put together a funeral for my mom... it can be really scary and expensive. I'll help." I knew what to do and only because my grandfather explained everything to me at one point, though I wasn't sure why.

"Well... they both had life insurance, so that should cover most of it. Don't I need a guy to read the will? Who normally does that?"

"I'll do some research for you." I offered and got started on that before lunch, it was going to take time and a lot of effort.

I decided I'd try and make the best out of this situation. I'd finally gotten to see Will again! I had been reading over the wills and everything when I got up and just gave him a great big hug. "Thank you so much for being here. I don't know what I would do without you."

I smiled warmly and hugged her back, "I promised, anything for you."

"That really makes me happy." I said with a sincere smile. He always knew how to make me happy... how was that?

"You can always make me happy." My mother's words rung in my head again, from some time ago.

"Sweetheart, don't fret. Just remember that the only one who can make you happy and keep you happy, even when you're upset with him, will be the one for you. You'll see him soon enough."

But... pshh... nah.

"You always make me happy too, I'm sorry I was so... I didn't call enough." I apologized as I was doing some more research.

"It's okay, I know you were busy!" I said quickly. "It's good that you didn't call! You might not have gotten anything done. I tend to keep you on the phone for forever."

"But if you need me I'm always willing to talk to you, Sammy-o." I said, feeling my chest go tight, but it wasn't asthma. It was something else.

"Yeah... same here!" I hugged him again from behind. He was still sitting in his chair. It was almost way too tiny for him. "I'll always be there for you when you need me... even when you don't and you just want to see me..."

"I'll always want you..." I was about to say something more but I wasn't sure how to say so.

I smiled and pulled my phone out, texting back one of my friends. Actually, my second-best friend, Hannah. I plopped down beside him and giggled annoyingly. "I'm being bad and talking about you."

"Oh really now?" I ventured, officially curious about what she was saying.

"Yes! But it's only good stuff! There's nothing bad to be said about you!" I poked him, scrunching up my nose in an awkward grin. My phone buzzed and I looked at it, giggling a little again. I probably blushed too.

"Are you dating him? You sure do talk about him a lot."

I texted her back like lightening. No, she couldn't mistake us for that! -blushblushblush-

"I wish! He's so awesome... I love him a lot. But he doesn't see me that way. We're just best friends."

I was still curious but I said nothing else as I went back to looking at my laptop for information.

I sat there for a moment or two more before nature called and I suddenly had to pee really bad. "I'm going to the bathroom! I'll be right back!" I ran to the bathroom, unawares that I left my phone until I was halfway there. Ah well, I'd text Hannah back once I was done with this adventure.

She was gone and she left her phone.

I moved over and looked at it, spotting the text messages and all her words. Without thinking I typed in something.

I do love her. Very much in fact, she means the world to me.

I hit send and then took my laptop and went to sit in the living room.

I came back a few minutes later and scooped up my phone. I pressed the center button so I could see if Hannah had sent me anything. She didn't send me anything, but apparently I sent her something.

I gaped, unable to believe my eyes. I wasn't reading it correctly, was I? I looked into the living room from where I was standing and stared at the couch where Will was sitting. "Uhm..." What was I supposed to do? Or say, for that matter? I didn't know...

I looked over with raised brows, "What's up?" I asked. I wondered if she'd seen it but by the look on her face I assumed.

"Ah... wh-wh-...." I couldn't even get anything out of my mouth. Half of my wanted to smile, the other half, cry because I never even expected him to feel that way. "Really?" I managed to squeak out, looking straight at him, trembling as I stood there. I couldn't think at all.

"It's not too easily hidden, but now the cat is out of the bag." I smiled warmly and motioned for her to come sit down as I moved my laptop to the coffee table.

For the very first time, I felt awkward around him. I did go though, smiling like an idiot, despite feeling so awkward. "Hi..." I said softly when I sat beside him. I knew I was red. My face was hot.

"Hey..." I wasn't sure what to say either, I wished I wasn't a coward sometimes and could just come out with it.
