And he doesn't even know...

"Oh, I see." I nodded in understanding, "I'll call them later and see if I can figure out what the reason might be."

"So where are we going?" I asked after a bit of driving. "You never said."

"I never said and we're almost there." I grinned, I had kept it a secret for a reason. It wasn't going to be gourmet but it was going to be special.

I took a left and pulled into Sonic.

I gasped. And then that gasp turned into a squeal and I bounced up and down in my chair. "Oh my gosh!!!! You have no idea how much I've been craving this!!! Oh yay!!!" I was giggling now! <3

"I figured, what do you want to eat?" I asked as I prepared to press the button so we could order our meals.

"A sonic burger... and a Sprite!" I said quickly, grinning from ear to ear. I was so happy to be back at Sonic with him!

"Alrght then," I turned and pressed the button and ordered our favorites.

I squealed again for good measure. "Thank you so much!!! I'm so happy!!" I leaned over quickly and kissed his cheek. "Yay Sonic!"

When she did that I turned quickly before she could back away and caught her on the lips.

"I'm glad I could make your day."

I blushed a bright red. "I'm glad you did too. You can always make me smile."

"I love your smile and I'd do anything to see it." I told her, caressing her cheek and then turning back to eat dinner. It smelled amazing.

"Before you take a bite of that, can I have my burger?" I laughed. He hadn't given it to me yet.

"Oh! Sorry!" I handed over the burger and suddenly felt kind of embarrassed. I hadn't been myself at all.

A year and a half later we moved to Alabama where I went to school and I got an apartment. Okay so it was a one bedroom with a small kitchen and located about a block away from school.

"I'm sorry, I'll save up and get something better." I said, I had just gotten a spare key for her.

"It's fine for now." I said with a smile, looking around happily. "The kitchen is the perfect size too!" I ran to it, grinning happily. Yes, this was the best kitchen for me! Small, but there was plenty of counter space!

"You'll be okay while I'm at school all day?" I asked, I had gotten back into the public and was finally getting a schedule down pat. I would come in at night and study till my eyes were bloodshot.

"Should I bring home a pizza?" I asked, I wasn't sure if she'd want it or not.

"I have some money left from my job! I can go get the ingredients and make one!!" I was so happy to crack open the new kitchen! "Which reminds me... I need to start looking for a job here..."

"Yeah, maybe I can put in a good word with the boss and get you a job there." I offered, we were really in a tough place, but I figured we could make it through that.

I just had no idea how hard it was about to get.

"Oh! Could you? I saw a Cato around here in town, so maybe I could try getting a job there."

I came out of the bathroom once more, pale-faced and miserable. "I really don't think this is just a stomach virus." I groaned. This had gone on way too long for that.

I was on my laptop doing some tests that I had to finish from last weeks classes. I glanced over at her, it had been a week and a half since she got hired at Cato but she'd been almost too sick to go.

I frowned in concern, "Do I need to get you to a doctor? I hope it's not something really serious." I wasn't sure what to think and nothing seemed to be helping.

I nodded with a frown. "I hate to say it, but yeah."

I nodded, "Alright, let me mark these..." I was finishing the last part of that test and I was confident I was going to pass. I grinned and then submitted it.

"Go get your shoes on." I logged out and closed the lid of my laptop and went to put on a shirt and some shoes as well.

I nodded and did as I was told, coming back out with my tye-dye converse on my tiny feet. "I'm sorry for making you take me, I just don't want it to be something really serious."

"I know, it's fine." I kissed the top of her head and put my wallet in my pocket. I didn't want her to be sick, I wasn't sure if I could bear losing her so I hoped it was just a bug or something.

At least something easily taken care of.

Too bad, it wasn't.

"Is there a possibility you may be pregnant?" A nurse asked, seemingly bored as she read off a list of questions she needed to ask me.

And I paled. "Uh... Yeah, I guess I could be..."

"Are you sexually active?"

"Uhm... mhm."

"Then there is a possibility."

I turned red. I didn't think the doctor's office would be this in-depth...

Pregnant?

I hadn't even thought of it at all, it hadn't even crossed my mind to even wonder if she might be. I had my inhaler in my mouth, using the medicine to dilate my chest where it was growing tight from stress.

I wasn't going to run away from it though because of the fact that I loved Sam so much and that I was ready to be responsible.

No. I knew this time if she was pregnant that I was most definitely the father.
