This Is Why I'm Here... 1

I grinned. "You weigh the amount my beautiful wife weighs! So get over here and sit with my so I can hug you and kiss you and love on you! Unless you want me to do a drive-by butt kiss like I did yesterday... 'course, when I did that... you got pretty upset..."

"Mhm, because I couldn't see you. I'm too slow to react properly so I just had to yell at you instead." I grinned a little bit and then put a plate in the dish drainer, "Alright, I'm coming."

Waddling had become one of my new favorite things to do, everyone said I was doing that a bit soon for being so early in my pregnancy but like I said, I was huge. I sat down and rested my head on his shoulder.

"Sooo, I have a doctors appointment tomorrow."

"You do?" I gasped. "When is it?" I had already wrapped my arms around her. I loved this girl way too much. "Can I go?"

"Yup, we're getting new baby pictures and finding out how she's doing. Oh and I forgot, we can find out the gender if we want to." I smirked, "Should we?" We hadn't really considered it, or had the chance to talk about it. >.< We were still quite busy.

"Yes! I want to know the gender! And mom does too!" I began wheeling my chair to the door. Some guys came out and built us a nice ramp! "Anyway, I can't wait to see my little peanut!"

"She's going to be so beautiful and she'll probably have your eyes too!" I knew already that she may not get much of my skin tone... I had been wondering about that.

"Mm... but what about yours? Your eyes are more beautiful than mine!" I grinned and kissed her, rolling out the door, toward the mailbox. "But yes, she will be very beautiful and she'll be a spitting image of her mother!"

I smiled at him, probably bigger than I had before. I was really flattered by that but I wanted her to have his eyes, because... there was something so wonderful about his eyes.

Maybe because I could look into them each day and know that a part of him was with her. I'd always be me but if he wasn't there I could look at my daughter and know that together, we brought a beautiful baby into the world.

I wanted to cry. I was so happy and beyond thrilled.

I kissed her nose and stopped at the mailbox, grabbing the mail out which i flipped through quickly. "Hmm... something from you parents. I opened it and wasn't surprised at what was inside. A note and then $300 cash. "Hmm... more money... and a note."

I took the note and sighed, "Dear Kyle and Rhema, we were so sad when you all told us what happened and we've been praying for you both. It can't be easy so we decided to send you some money to go out and do something nice together, just to let all the troubles roll away for a little while. We love you both so much and want you to know that we are here when ever you need us.

Spoil yourselves, enjoy each other's company and please smile. Oh and if you could, take as many pictures as you can. Kyle, we love you so much, son, we want the best for you and we can't even begin to describe what having you in our lives has done. Things would never be the same without you, having a son in our lives has been the best and you've done nothing but bring happiness to us and our beautiful Rhema. We love you more than words can even describe.

I stopped reading and looked at him with tears in my eyes.

I was crying. I couldn't help it. "Your parents... I've really got to make this up to them somehow..." I wiped my eyes, but the tears kept coming. I could never say again that I thought her parents didn't love me. They just proved for the umpteenth time that they did.

I kissed him and wrapped my arms around his neck, "What would we do without them, Kyle?" I cried, they were the best parents anyone could ever ask for.

And we were about to give them a grandbaby! <3

I hugged her gently and kissed her neck. "We would be unloved people, comparatively." I said softly. "Thank you for sharing your parents with me."

"You're welcome, they loved you from the start." I laughed softly and hugged him again. The next day we decided that we'd visit them after the doctors appointment to share the exciting news of what gender the baby was.

Mom wanted to get on spoiling her before she was born.


at least we hoped it was a girl. >.<

"Please let it be a girl..." I muttered while we waited for the ultrasound tech to come in. "I want her to be a girl so badly!"

"A very big girl!" I grinned, patting her belly. "A very big, cute girl!" I wanted a girl so badly to be the spitting image of her mother! But I wanted a boy too, so he'd take care of his mother and siblings to come.

"Ugh, seriously? She's huge..." I sighed. I didn't want to have such a big baby but if that was the case then oh well. Then the tech came in and sat down next to the machine.

"Hi Lee!"

"Hello, Rhema. How are you two today?"

"Good!"

Lee looked at Kyle for a minute and smiled sympathetically but didn't say anything else, that kind of bothered me. She was quiet as she got the pictures up and began to look around, the gel wasn't cold this time... thankfully.

I tried to ignore it, though it was irritating that I was only getting irritating or sympathetic looks these days. "Well, we won't have to put the baby in the stroller when she comes!" I grinned. "She can just sit in my lap!"

Lee just laughed a little bit and then showed us the picture on the big screen, circling what was important. Then she stopped and I grew concerned because she seemed to be staring at the picture pretty intently.

"This really explains it..."

"What? Is there something wrong with her?" My heart was starting to race.

"No, far from it! Look, here we have baby A, who will be born first and here is baby B."

"Wait... twins?" I gasped.

"Twins. Baby A is a boy and baby B is a girl." She grinned.

I grinned. "YES! TWO BABIES! That makes me so very happy!!" I couldn't help it."I wanted a boy and girl too! Yessss!"

I was excited and extremely relieved, I would not be giving birth to a big baby girl! That was terrifying. I sighed and laid my head back while the tech printed two different pictures, marking which baby was which.

"Congrats!" She said cheerfully and then I got cleaned up and sat up straight, staring at the pictures. I couldn't believe I was carrying twins.

That explained a lot actually. >w<

I grabbed a random picture out of her hands which ended up being the boy. "Oh look! He's so big! He'll definitely be able to watch out for you and his little sister!" I was already proud of him and he hadn't even done anything but exist yet!

I leaned over to look at it better, "He is a little bit bigger isn't he?" I compared the pictures and wondered if it was how they were positioned or if he was just a bit bigger... hmm.

"Well... wait till Mom and Dad hear this!"

I traded pictures with her and oogled over my baby girl next. "Ohh... such a sweet little thing. Aww..." I grinned and nodded. "Mom and Dad will definitely be happy. And my mom might explode with joy! We should call her and have her meet us! Or should we meet up with her tonight instead?"

"Mm, let's just all go to my parents house, they have a big dining room though I'd much rather tell them over snacks and sodas than over dinner." I admitted as I climbed off the bed which shouldn't have been that challenging.

I was feeling much better about being a mommy, I'd managed to safely carry two babies this far! Amazing feat! <3

"Sounds good to me!" I said, patting my lap. "No more walking for the moment. I can tell when your back's hurting."
